Learning to Code (again)

by admin on April 12, 2012

A few weeks ago I was reading about how Javascript along with HTML5 are evolving to bring new and improved power to the web. It allows webpages to be much more interactive and feature rich than ever before. Basically it means web pages will feel more like compter applications rather than the static web pages of old.

Shortly after that I cam across codecademy.com, a website that allows you to learn Javascript interactively. It’s easy to get started with some simple exercises that quickly show you some simple ways you can create your own interactive web pages and be on your way to creating something useful.

I’m finding it so interesting that I decided to start this blog to record my progress and share the useful ideas and resources I find along the way.

It feels like I’m back in 1981 when I was 14, writing little BASIC programs on my Sinclair ZX80 :)

You can follow my progress at http://www.codecademy.com/profiles/jaxxon33.
